Supermicro X9DRH-7TF Preview Ultimate Server Motherboard
Supermicro X9DRH-7TF Preview Ultimate Server Motherboard
Just spotted this new board over at Supermicro, I can only think that this motherboard was released after my comment on the Tyan S7053 server board, being my board of choice currently. I have a feeling this motherboard could replace the S7053 and take the overall crown of king of all Intel Xeon E5 LGA 2011 server boards. Supermicro and Tyan have the server boards pretty well sewn up unless you go to a pre-built Dell, HP or IBM server. Let’s have a quick look at this monster server board.

Supermicro has always been quick to support the latest technology from Intel, so it's no surprise it was one of the first to rush through our doors with a Xeon E5 system. Supplied exclusively by Boston, the Value Series (VS) 380 G8 aims to combine the power of the processors with high memory and storage capacity. PC Pro were so impressed with the Boston Value Series 380 G8 that they awarded it with their PC Pro Recommended Award.

Boston Venom 2000-7T reviewed by bit-tech
As part of their Xeon E5-2670 testing, bit-tech got their mits on one of the first workstations available in the UK to sport the new Xeons, along with 32GB RAM and a Quadro 4000 graphics card. Built by Boston, a Hertfordshire-based server, workstation and storage provider, the Venom 2000-7T is built inside a Lian Li PC-90B case, which feels very sturdy and comes complete with all the usual modern gubbins such as USB 3, 2.5in SSD mounts, washable fan filters.

Xeon E5 - nearly here...
One of the server industry's worst-kept secrets, Intel's much-delayed Xeon E5 processor platform (Romley/Sandy Bridge E), is due to be officially unveiled tomorrow (6 March). Xeon processors are also widely used in workstations, and we recently took the opportunity to test an all-new Xeon E5 workstation ahead of the launch, to see what the new silicon has to offer.

Smart and Fast - 3DBOXX 3970 XTREME reviewed by Desktop Engineering
We've come to expect a lot from BOXX Technologies - their systems epitomize peak performance.
