Boston launch new High Performance & High Availability Igloo Storage solutions

Boston Limited, now in its 18th year as a distribution partner for silicon valley based Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), today has formally announced a raft of new product launches being showcased at Storage Expo 2009, Stand number 282, London Olympia on Wednesday 14th of October.

Various new storage appliances and technologies will be launched and showcased at the event highlighting the latest developments in SATA II, SAS 2.0 and SSD based appliances designed in partnership with Supermicro, Open-E and Microsoft, Boston will also be demonstrating Igloo storage appliances offering blistering performance of up to 3000MB/s internal bandwidth at the event.
Boston will also be demonstrating their new Igloo BOS-IX8-1472-W10C 72TB storage appliance that is housed in a highly innovative single 4U enclosure featuring a massive 36 fully accessible 3.5" hot-swap drive bays, hot-swap power supplies, 10Gb-Ethernet and optional Infinihost interface making this an ideal platform for nearline / offline storage solutions for iSCSI / NAS or the basis of a PVFS under LINUX.
Fully fledged support for the latest developments in 2.5" HDD technology is unveiled in the Igloo BOS-IX8-1224-W10C solution. Through utilizing up to 24 of the latest 2.5" SAS2.0/SAS/SATA/SSD HDD all packaged within a tiny 2U enclosure numerous drive and RAID configurations can be selected to provide either outright I/O bandwidth or to mix drive and RAID configurations together to suit clients' precise needs and requirements.
Boston offers bespoke services for specialist applications which include product design and consultancy, additional services include on-site warranty and financial solutions including leasing.
