Boston Limited, now in its 17th year as a Pan European distribution partner for silicon valley based Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), today announces a range of products based around the new Intel Xeon Processor 5500 Series (Tylersburg / Nehalem) architecture.
These technology leading platforms embrace Servers, Workstations, Storage, HPC and GPU solutions and includes the new and innovative 2U Twin2, Twin GPU 1U server, and 93%+ technologies. "These offer performance enhancements, TCO savings and increased computing density creating new business opportunities enabling Boston to supply application-optimized solutions that fully leverage the performance enhancements of the new Intel Nehalem processors", said Charles Liang, CEO and President of Supermicro.

The new range of servers from Boston which harness the power of the latest Intel CPU, codenamed Nehalem, delivers unprecedented processor performance by use of an integrated memory controller and high-speed interconnect for each processing core.
Boston's full line up includes a gamut of rack-mountable servers with emphasis on energy efficiency and density as well as high performance workstations and HPC solutions. The innovative Twin2 SuperServer (SYS-6026TT series) is an advance on the current 1U Twin platform but offers 4 hot-swappable DP server nodes in a 2U form factor chassis. Existing users of the Boston blade solution will also benefit from the introduction of the first DP Nehalem blade, which plugs straight into the existing enclosures. In addition to the standard server solutions, Boston offers bespoke services for specialist applications which includes product design consultancy. Additional services include on-site warranty and financial solutions including leasing.
