SpeedFan Supports Areca SAS and SATA RAID Adapters

Areca Technology Corporation (ARECA), today announced that the SpeedFan V4.35 has integrated the supported Areca SAS and SATA ll RAID adapter, giving customers using Areca's entire family PCI-X and PCI-Express series of high performance SAS and SATA ll RAID controllers a way to monitor voltage, fan speeds and temperatures on the storage systems.
SpeedFan is a freeware program that monitors voltages, fan speeds and temperatures in computers with hardware monitor chips. SpeedFan can even access S.M.A.R.T. info for those hard disks that support this feature and show hard disk temperatures too, if supported.
SpeedFan supports SCSI disks too. At the lowest level, SpeedFan is an hardware monitor software that can access digital temperature sensors, but its main feature is that it can change fan speeds (depending on the capabilities of your sensor chip and your hardware) according to the temperatures inside your pc, thus reducing noise. SpeedFan can work fine with Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and Windows XP. It also works with Windows 64 bit too.
