We then further extended this commitment by launching the world's first Carbon Neutral server and workstation solutions. We view the introduction of Boston's Carbon Offset Programme as a significant step towards environmental sustainability.
The benefit for our resellers is that they can join this unique initiative by simply purchasing any of our range of CN-SuperServer or CN-WorkStation products. Each CN based solution funds Carbon Neutral projects around the world, these are projects that either reduce or produce no emissions, thereby balancing the original output.
At the end of the lifespan of a CN branded solution we will dispose of the equipment by environmentally friendly means including the recycling and safe disposal of hazardous substances and materials.
During the lifespan* of a CN branded solution Boston will ensure that the maximum amount of CO² produced by using the equipment will be offset by reductions made through a range of projects in renewable energy and energy efficiency. The CO² produced is calculated using the total power consumed and total power used to cool the equipment during the lifespan.*
